I lost my beautiful Jimmy on the 25th January 2010.
Like a true australian terrier, Jimmy loved to kill rats. And as we live in suburbia with a creek behind our property it is common to find water rats.
The fact that our neighbour has over 200 cooks doesnt help the matter.
Needless to say the neighbour decided to put rat baits around his yard and Jimmy being such a good "ratter" killed a baited rat. He died with acute anemia.
To loose him is such a painful experience that I know no other dog will be able to fill the void in my heart. Jimmy was the patriach of my dogs and now with his death it is the end of my pure red line. Others may come and warm my heart but my Jimmy will always be Number One. He was always the master in the show ring. Never a bad bone in his body. He competed against some of the best dogs in NSW during his show career. Winning Runner Up to Best in Show at the Australian Terrier Club of NSW Inc Easter Specialty Show and then going on to win Runner Up to Best of Breed at the Sydney Royal. (none other than Enomis Hes All Right being the winner at both these competitions).
Jimmy won numerous Group Classes and was always the winner in Best Brace and Best Sandy/Red at our aussie specialty shows. His last win was Best Veteran at the September Aussie Show.
He was always gentle and loving and he will be missed for the rest of my life.
